The City of London Parent Carer Forum works closely with its members to shape strategic priorities, develop key objectives and plan an annual programme of activities that reflects the needs of local families. The forum is responsible for managing and monitoring its funding, including the annual government grant, ensuring resources are used effectively to support parent carers and drive positive outcomes. Working in partnership with the Local Authority, NHS and voluntary sector organisations, the forum helps ensure that the voices of parent carers are heard and influence the design and delivery of local services.
The forum also attends SEND-related meetings, conferences and workshops where possible, shares relevant information, resources and opportunities with members, and, above all, provides a supportive community where parent carers can connect, share experiences and learn from one another.
