What does the City Parent Carer Forum do?

The City of London Parent Carer Forum exists to represent the views and experiences of parent carers, helping to improve outcomes for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

We work closely with local authorities, health services, education providers and national organisations to ensure that the voices of families are reflected in the development, review and delivery of services. By bringing parent carers and decision-makers together, we help influence positive change across the City of London.

Our work is shaped by the experiences of the families we support. We provide a range of opportunities for parent carers to share their views, concerns and ideas, helping us identify priorities and highlight areas where improvements are needed.

Feedback is gathered through surveys, workshops, coffee mornings, focus groups, online events, information sessions and community meetings. We use this valuable insight to represent families at strategic boards and partnership meetings, ensuring their experiences help inform future services and support. We are committed to keeping our members informed and demonstrating how their contributions make a real difference.

Alongside our participation work, we also offer a programme of events, training opportunities and workshops designed to inform, support and empower parent carers across the City of London.
